Maternity Sessions

Firstly, CONGRATS! You are having a baby! Whether it is your first baby, or your fourth baby, every pregnancy is unique and amazing. This is the start of a brand new chapter in your family's life. To celebrate your curvy bump and stunning glow, Maternity Photography has become very popular because it does just that. From outdoor sessions, by a lake or river, flower field or sandy beach. To indoor sessions, in the bath or on the bed, showing that beautiful bump and your stunning glow.

Maternity photographs are memorable and cherished; you are carrying a baby for around 9 months; your body creates a whole new organ; your body changes, all because you chose to grow your family. And that. Is something to be documented.

What should I book a Maternity Session?

The best time to capture your beautiful, growing bump is between 34-38 weeks into your pregnancy. Your bump doesn't necessarily have to be on show, but this is a perfect time to show that gorgeous curve, and hopefully you will still be able to move around, lie down and get comfy. Having your partner and any other children (and pets) present at the Maternity Session is encouraged, as these are records of your growing family. Booking your Maternity Session, is recommended, between 24-26 weeks into your pregnancy, so that we can get a date that works well for both of us, and so that I can help you prepare for your indoor or outdoor Maternity Session.

What should we wear?

I'm happy to discuss colour options, but the rule of thumb is stick with natural and complimentary colours.

Indoor or Outdoor?

Depending on your comfort with showing a little bump in water or hugging your partner tight at sunset, we can discuss what your vision is for your Maternity Session.

Can others come too?

Of course - I encourage you to have your partner and other children, and for them to be really involved. It is a chapter for you and your family, and that's what I want to document for you.

What should we expect?

Relaxed, chilled and natural photographs, created during our time together. I will do everything I can to make you feel at ease; chat with your children so they open up more; and, work with you to capture perfect moments of you and your family.

"Amazing photographer, always has time for people and her captures are just perfect, very natural and real and she has always exceeded our expectations of them, I would highly recommend her work."
